Welcome to Class 3

Class 3 comprises of both year 5 and 6 pupils.

Mrs Morton teaches in this class with the support of a Teaching Assistant.

In Class 3 we are passionate that every child should reach their potential in a challenging, enjoyable and supportive environment.

Our engaging curriculum and in-depth topics provide an interesting and challenging basis for a range of learning opportunities. Each child is encouraged to succeed in reaching their own individual learning goals. . Children are taught in many ways including whole class discussion, small groups and individual learning where appropriate.

Building on the prior knowledge the children have obtained in Class 2, we endeavour to construct and enhance every child’s learning experience by ensuring that learning is embedded and applied to a variety of practical situations.

With a particular focus on independence and responsibility, the children are encouraged to take on positions in school from which they can lead by example to the younger children in school, taking on key roles in our School Council and Collective Worship groups.

We work hard to help children increase their emotional resilience and general life skills in order to make the transition to secondary school as smooth as possible.
